   Willa Griswold of Marysville is a talented and award winning artist.  During high school she was a student of the first art teacher hired by the Marysville School District in 1953.  Willa continued to study art through adult evening classes and various workshops in Nebraska and Kansas. She was very instrumental in the founding of the Art Center located in the former Methodist Church.  In 2004 she received the Rotary Club Paul Harris Award for outstanding community service  Last year the Marysville Chamber of Commerce nominated Willa for the Kansas Govenor's Art Advocary Award and she won.  She will be bringing some of her art work to the program.

    The program is free to the public and begins at 11:15 a.m. on  Friday, August 26 at the Kloppenberg Center.  If you plan to stay for the noon meal, please call the Kloppenberg Center in Hanover (785-337-2521) by 2:00 p.m. the day before, or Elvira at 337-2735 by 8:00 a.m. on Friday.
