Heritage Highway Photography Exhibit on Display Now
Photographs submitted to the Heritage Highway Association photography contest are now on display at the Red Cloud Opera House. The contest was sponsored by local towns along the beautiful, historic journey that is the Heritage Highway. From Edison to Brownville, this 238-mile stretch of U.S. Highway 136 cuts across a section of Nebraska where the historical significance is undeniable. The historic landmarks and natural beauty found along the byway set the stage for a variety of magnificent photos.
Stop by the Red Cloud Opera House before May 30th to view the photos and to cast a vote for the Viewer’s Choice Award. Photos can also be viewed online on the Heritage Highway Association Facebook page.
On Friday, June 7th, a reception will be held at Main Street Center located at 504 E Street in downtown Fairbury during the Fairbury First Friday Art Walk. At 7 p.m., Association president Jay Hall of Red Cloud will introduce the photographers and judges and winners of the contest will be announced. Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place plus the Viewer’s Choice Award.
Online votes can be cast by emailing your pick for the Viewer’s Choice Award to firstname.lastname@example.org. For more information about Nebraska Heritage Highway, visit their website at www.HeritageHighway136.com.
