50,000 MEALS FOR THE TYPHOON DISASTER VICTIMS

OUR SAVIOR'S LUTHERAN CHURCH, ODELL, IS EMBARKING ON A MISSION THIS MONTH TO PACKAGE 50,000 MEALS FOR THE TYPHOON DISASTERNVICTIMS IN THE PHILIPPINES.

A PROJECT OF MERCY MEALS OF NEBRASKA, THESE NOURISHINGS RICE/SOY MEALS ARE SCHEDULED TO BE ASSEMBLED OVER TWO DAYS, DEC 9 AND 10, AT THE ODELL COMMUNITY BUILDING, WITH INCLEMENT WEATHER DATES SET FOR DEC 16 AND 17. A TYPICAL VOLUNTEER PACKAGING SESSION IS TWO HOURS.

THROUGH A PROPOSED GRANT, ORPHAN GRAIN TRAIN OF NORFOLK WILL PROVIDE FOOD AND PACKING FOR THESE MEALS TO BE SHIPPED OVERSEAS.

THE MEAL PROVIDES ALL OF THE ESSENTIAL AMINO ACIDS NEEDED FOR COMPLETE NUTRITION. PACKAGES SERVE SIX CHILDREN WITH ALL OF THE ESSENTIAL NUTRIENTS TO REVERSE MALNUTRITION.
