Angry Cow Trail Run Set for April 5
FAIRBURY – The 3rd annual Angry Cow Trail Run has been set for Saturday, April 5, at Rock Creek Historical Park near Fairbury.
The Angry Cow Trail Run is the fourth run in the Great Plains Trail Series, sponsored by Angry Cow Adventures. The run is co-sponsored by Angry Cow Adventures and the Bob and Wauneta Burkley Wellness Center.
The course is on trails, creeks and cliffs in the Rock Creek Station State Historical Park. Four distances are available, with variable fees. A 2-mile course is $10; a 5-mile course is $25; a 15-mile course is $35; and a 33-mile course is $50. Fees include shirt, prizes, food and refreshments. Aid and water stations will be available along the route. Medals will be given to winners in the male and female categories in each race.
Check in is at 7 a.m. for the 33-mile race, with race start at 8:30 a.m. For the 2-, 5- and 15-mile races check in is at 8:30 a.m. with the race start at 9 a.m.
Registration is available on line at www.raceregister.net. On-line registration deadline is March 24. Registrations will be taken at the Bob and Wauneta Burkley Wellness Center through April 4 or at Rock Creek Station the day of the race, with no shirt provided.
