MADISON – Madison County Fair attendees will get a taste of the old and new in country music this year.
Fair organizers announced on Friday that their entertainment lineup will include country legend Hank Williams, Jr., as well as current country star Kip Moore.
Moore will headline the Saturday show at the fair, while Williams will be part of the Sunday entertainment.
Williams’ legendary career has included 44 top ten songs on the country music charts and ten number ones. He also provided the theme song for Monday Night Football from 1989 to 2011.
Moore has had three top ten hits, including his 2011 number one song “Somethin’ ‘Bout a Truck.”
Tickets for the events go on sale April 30th. The 2016 Madison County Fair will run from July 12th through the 17th.
