Beulah Leona Schoenfeld of Deshler, NE the daughter of Otis and Elsie (Conyers) Gardner was born February 14, 1915 at Fremont, NE. She departed this life Tuesday June 21, 2011 at Parkview Haven Nursing Home in Deshler, NE at the age of 96 years.

Beulah grew up and attended school in the Fremont area, graduating from Fremont High School. She married Leonard Donahue in Fremont, NE. This union was blessed with the birth of two children. Leonard died in the early years of their marriage. On April 18, 1955 she married Melvin Schoenfeld at Saint John Lutheran Church in Chester, NE. Beulah and Melvin made their home on a farm near Deshler, NE. She was the librarian for the Deshler Public Library for over 30 years.

Her hobbies were reading and playing cards, most of all spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Leonard Donahue, and her second husband Melvin, three brothers; Maurice, Dean and Wayne Gardner, two sister; Opal Nixon and Arlene Reilly. Son-in-law Donald Gunn.

She is survived by son Ronald Donahue and wife Beverly of Bolder, CO, daughter Cheryl Gunn of Superior, NE, grandchildren; Steven Donahue and wife Cheryl of Erie, CO, Darrin Gunn and wife Angel of Seward, NE, Angela Gunn of Seattle, WA, two great-grandchildren; Parker Donahue and Lucian Gunn, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Following Beulah's wishes she was cremated and a grave side service will be held at a later date, no visitation, Deshler Memorial Funeral Home of Deshler, NE is in charge of arrangements.
